2-7 are counted as +1

8, 9 are valued as 0

10’s - Aces are counted as -1

Once the count is positive, the players are more likely to be dealt a Natural and the croupier is more probably to bust as it signals that mostly all small cards were dealt, therefore the deck is high in large cards.
